Living in Kensington
The Kensington development was built between 1994 and 1999. It is comprised of single family homes designed for medium to large sized families. The homes offer three to five bedrooms and range from approximately 1,800-3,000 square feet. These upscale family homes are nestled in northern end of Coral Springs and are surrounded by beautiful waterways and lakes. The winding streets are full of lush landscaping and are often filled with families taking walks, jogging, or biking. Homes in Kensington start in the mid 300’s, and have features usually reserved for the priciest residences. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced upscale home, Kensington is for you.
Kensington has easy access to the Sawgrass Expressway, making the commute both north and south a breeze. It is only minutes away from the Coral Springs Downtown area. The City of Coral Springs is also in the process of renovating the downtown area to make it a pedestrian friendly location for all types of events and activities. Coral Springs revitalization of the downtown area will bring in all types of new businesses and activities that are mere minutes away from Kensington.

Betti Straddling Park is located at 10301 Wiles Road. It is made up of 21 acres, and includes a Skate Park, Slide & Glide playground, 3 athletic fields, 2 basketball courts, 2 sand volleyball courts, 2 picnic pavilions, exercise stations, and a 1-mile asphalt walking/jogging path and large open play area.
Mullins Park is located at 10000 Ben Geiger Dr. It is the largest park in Coral Springs. Facilities include basketball courts, tennis courts, swimming pool, volleyball courts, picnic pavilions, as well as soccer, baseball, softball, and artificial turf football fields. Mullins Park is a center of activity for sports leagues and outdoor activities throughout the year. It is also the location of the 4th of July Fireworks Celebration for the City.
Coral Springs Gymnasium is located at 2501 Coral Springs Drive. Although not technically a park, it is worth mentioning as it is a great place for family activities. It includes 3 basketball/volleyball courts, classrooms, meeting room, and programming for all ages. Open play is $2 per person.
Coral Springs Aquatic Complex is located at 12441 Royal Palm Boulevard.
One of Broward County’s hidden jewels is the Coral Springs Aquatic Complex in the SportsPlex. This world-renowned facility is home to national and international swimming, water polo, synchronized swimming and diving competitions. Olympic divers and swimmers from all over the world come to train at this facility, including Olympic gold medalist, Dara Torres.
Florida Panthers Ice Den is located at 3299 Sportsplex Drive.
